ELSA Japan Announces Strategic Distribution Partnership with NextIO to Provide I/O Virtualization Products in Japan

Tokyo, Japan and Austin, Texas – September 22, 2010 – ELSA Japan, Inc., a leading provider of computer graphics solutions, today announced an exclusive, strategic distribution agreement with NextIO wherein ELSA will be the sole distributor of NextIO's I/O consolidation solutions for the Japanese reseller market. This agreement includes NextIO's just-announced vCORE Express product, the first 1U GPU consolidation appliance with NVIDIA M2070 GPUs. ELSA will make these products available to Japanese customers through its existing network of sub-distributors and value-added resellers.

"Our goal is to provide the best I/O consolidation and GPU computing solutions for our customers," said Kazuyoshi Naito, president and CEO, ELSA Japan Inc. "The ability to provide NextIO's vCORE Express to the Japanese market is very important for ELSA Japan customers who need highly scalable, serviceable and dense GPU consolidation solutions. NextIO's reputation for innovative I/O consolidation solutions with unparalleled performance makes this partnership an easy fit for our customers."

vCORE Express enhances NextIO's GPU consolidation product portfolio by introducing a simple yet extremely powerful solution for workstation and small cluster compute applications. The vCORE Express-2070 provides four M2070 GPUs with two x16 PCI-Express server connections in a 1U form factor. Ideally suited for customers with a low number of job counts, low to medium GPU counts, or a combination of both, vCORE Express enables enterprise customers to easily deploy and seamlessly manage a consolidated GPU solution in a rack environment. NextIO will also offer the vCORE Express-2050 through ELSA, which provides four M2050 GPUs in the same form factor.

"We are very excited to partner with ELSA Japan in bringing NextIO's innovative I/O consolidation technology to the Japanese market," said Mike Heumann, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, NextIO. "Working together with Japan's number one GPGPU and graphics leader will allow us to provide Japanese end-users to benefit from the true experience of I/O consolidation with NextIO's vCORE products."

In addition to NextIO's vCORE Express product line, ELSA will also offer NextIO's other GPGPU consolidation products such as vCORE Extreme (a high-performance, high-density 3U, 16 GPU appliance) and vCORE Flex (a 4U, 16 GPU appliance with unparalleled levels of GPU-server reconfigurability). ELSA will also offer NextIO's vSTOR product line which provides world- class Tier0 storage performance (2.2M IOPS and 14TB in 3U), and NextIO's vNET product, which simplifies server I/O at the rack level by allowing servers to share I/O resources such as Fibre Channel, Ethernet, FCoE, and InfiniBand host cards.
